Text and SMS
Every day, millions of text messages are sent to and from mobiles in New Zealand. Texting, or short message service (SMS) has become an integral part of marketing, compliance, advocacy and recruitment campaigns in New Zealand, particularly those targeting younger audiences.
The Electoral Enrolment Centre's campaign in 2008 used texting as a way for people to order enrolment packs, which we mailed out. The recruitment campaign for the Navy invites people to text their interest to us and we respond by sending out information packs.
Email, fax and web enquiries
You may choose to use other technologies such as email, fax, and the internet, instead of the phone. The messages are received, allocated to a customer service agent and responded to just as with the phone calls we handle. Similarly, we'll update your database with every enquiry made.
